BIA will be present as an exhibitor at the SEMICA International Trade Fair for Energy, Mines and Quarries, which is being held from 23 to 25 May 2013 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
SEMICA stands out as the most important mining, quarry and energy event in Burkina Faso. More specifically, it is a trade fair which is centred around thematic conferences and round tables, B2B meetings and a hall of exhibitors (including Afrique Beton, Exterhum, HGS Burkina, BIA, etc.).
This year, all of these activities will be based on the following theme: “Investing in West Africa: Harmonisation of mining regulations in the WAEMU area”. In tacking this issue, SEMICA wants to stimulate investment in the countries of West Africa via a harmonisation of the mining code.

BIA is sponsoring the LIMEP conference which is being held from 9 to 11 April 2013 in Monrovia, Liberia.
Limep stands out as the most important mining event in Liberia. More specifically, it is a mining conference which holds conference sessions, seminars, conversation groups and a trade exhibition (including JA Delmas, Transmotors and BIA Overseas).
This year, Limep’s organisers have put the emphasis on environmental and equitable issues: the mining, energy and oil potential of Liberia and its sustainable development.
For BIA, the Limep conference is somewhere conducive for business opportunities. In fact, more than 40 companies from 27 different countries are expected to attend, all of them sensitive to the issue of the sustainable development of Liberia’s natural resources.

For BIA, the BAUMA trade fair is somewhere conducive for business meetings. In fact, with its 570,000m2 of innovations, its 3,300 exhibitors and more than 500,000 visitors expected, Bauma is an excellent opportunity for privileged interaction with those involved in the sector.
As a distributor of the KOMATSU, BOMAG, SANDVIK and CUMMINS brands, BIA will be present for the full duration of the trade fair. More specifically, BIA’s employees will be available at the KOMATSU (Hall B5), BOMAG (Hall F10) and SANDVIK (Hall F6) stands.
Besides any business opportunities, the BAUMA trade fair will enable visitors to be amazed by all of the latest innovations in the market.
Among these new products, we would mention BOMAG’s latest finisher, the BF 900 C. It has the specific features of having a reinforced feeder auger and a conveyor chain with greater drive.
For its part, SANDVIK will, among other things, unveil its new Impactor crusher described as more productive, and the DC125R, a remote controlled, simple and functional rubber-tyred drill rig.
As for KOMATSU, it will reveal its new WA380-7 wheel loader model, which is highly energy-efficient and has the benefit of the full KOMATSU technology.
Ouamarou KANAZOE is a company heavily involved in Burkina Faso’s economic activity. In fact, Ouamarou KANAZOE has demonstrated its expertise in a relatively wide range of fields such as road works, urban roadways, agricultural hydraulic work or even work on engineering structures.
The collaboration between Ouamarou KANAZOE and BIA started in 2007. At that time, BIA had provided it with a sizeable fleet of equipment. Ouamarou had in fact signed a contract for more than 70 machines, including D85EX and D155A bulldozers, GD705A graders, PC220 hydraulic excavators and even WA380 wheel loaders.
At the start of January 2013, BIA consolidated its relationship with Ouamarou KANAZOE by signing its second sales contract. This time, the contract is for two Terex 35- and 100-ton all terrain mobile cranes (RT35 and RT100).
But BIA is not stopping there while things are going so well…At the end of January 2013, BIA won a contract for maintaining and supplying spare parts for the fleet of more than 70 machines working at the site of the Sabou-Koudougou road in Burkina Faso. The proper performance of this contract will be assured by BIA Burkina.
BIA is satisfied with its participation at the most important mining event in Africa.
For its 19th year, more than 7,500 participants attended the trade show. And for BIA this was the opportunity to make more than 60 new contacts with clients, prospective clients, financial institutions and the international press.
At the trade show BIA was able to show its mining contacts its expertise and its added value in sales of and after sales support for KOMATSU, SANDVIK, CUMMINS and BOMAG equipment and also in the different services which BIA can offer its clients.
Mining Indaba 2013 is undoubtedly an unmissable event which allows BIA to strengthen its presence and its brand image on African territory.
